Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, processing customer transactions.
- Understand Menu as trained to ensure you can answer customers questions
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Assist in product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve sales.
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and organized.
- Supervise junior staff or new hires as needed, providing guidance on customer service best practices.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, ensuring clear communication and assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all shoppers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively assist customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
