Kosmo Machine, a premier precision and climate-controlled contract manufacturer machine shop, specializing in CNC milling and turning, EDM machining, custom welding processes, and critical component reconditioning, is seeking a part-time (approximately 20-25 hours per week; subject to change) HR Assistant to work with and support the HR Manager with recruitment, payroll, and other duties. Compensation
- Ranges from $22 to $26 per hour (hourly pay type; non-exempt FLSA class).
- Based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
Qualifications
- Previous HR experience and/or a college degree is not required. Must consider yourself to be a patient, enthusiastic people person with a positive attitude and strong desire to help others and see problems, questions, and obstacles through to completion.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting, be self-motivated, and interact and collaborate well with leadership, management, and employees.
- Demonstrate good judgment and confidence in your knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
- Exhibit a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and accept various duties and responsibilities to support the HR department.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and complete various HR tasks, to include payroll administration, benefit management, market research, performance reviews, and personnel issues. Collaborate with HR and management on other tasks as needed.
- Upon completion of the learning and training period, this role will be an integral player in the recruitment process from creating job postings, scheduling and participating in interviews, and being a part of the decision-making process.
- Present innovative and creative ideas to improve and support the recruitment process through various social media outlets. Work with the HR Manager on community recruitment and outreach.
- Collaborate with HR Manager on the pre-hire and onboarding processes, to include preparing for and participating in new hire orientations and supporting the company's training processes.
Work Location and Schedule
- Open to remote work for some tasks; however, the majority of duties require one to be on-site.
- Flexible with work schedule as long as the department's needs are satisfied.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must pass criminal background check, drug test, and provide updated copy of Motor Vehicle Report with no major violations.
