Growing food company in Phoenix has a need for a QA Specialist. It is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Communicates all production processes, documentation procedures and sanitation compliance to Corporate Chef.
Meets daily with Corporate Chef to review production schedule and ensure all production compliance.
Ensure all products are produced to specification (weights, shelf life, packaging). Conduct in line audits/product assessments for specification compliance on food products. Ensure GMPs are being followed.Conducts Pre-Op inspections with USDA representative.
Assess facility for sanitary compliance.Collect weights and measurements of finished good products.Ensure package integrity and accuracy. Monitor labeling and dating compliance of products.
Create training programs for hourly staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for communicating quality and compliance issues directly with hourly team members and management team.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
2-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
