Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in CNC Programming mills and lathes required
- Proficiency in Mastercam software to create CNC programs
- Autodesk Inventor HSM and Autodesk Partmaker software experience or interest in learning required
- Proficiency in understanding G and M code and ability to write G and M code
- Fanuc and Haas control experience desired
- Experience with metal cutting tool selection and utilization
- Strong communication, problem solving and technical skills.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Demonstrated ability to educate, train and assist operators in a collaborative and positive manner
- Blueprint reading and interpretation, including GD&T and solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques
- Proficient math skills specifically with fractions and decimals
- Experience with quoting machine cycle time and costs
- Familiar with designing machining fixtures
- Previous experience using inspection equipment to confirm part quality
- Shop floor support, editing, and program prove-out experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develops accurate and cost-effective programing for all mill and lathe machining jobs using Autodesk Inventor HSM and Autodesk PartMaker software.
- Define, calculate and set machine parameters to regulate factors such as cutting speed, feed, depth and angle of cut, tool path, or additional machine commands.
- Define and select cutting tools, attachments, and related machine accessories for accurately and repeatedly producing machined components. Initiate tooling improvement efforts by working with tooling manufacturers and vendors, performing tooling trials, and implementing tooling optimization
- Advanced interpretation of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and/or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece. Knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerances is desired.
- Responsible for developing the sequence of operations and machining processes to efficiently use production resources and equipment to create products.
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
- Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Company Command Center.
- Develop process routings, defining the required operations to manufacture products
- Prioritize all manufacturing work and launch into manufacturing in the proper sequence.
- Work with inventory to ensure material availability.
- Monitor work flow and ensure due dates are obtained.
- Observe machine operation and troubleshoot to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjusts machine controls or CNC program as required.
- Be a communication link between the external/internal customers and the process.
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm
