Internal Accountant

Overview
Kotzer Excavating is hiring an Internal Accountant in our Albany, Minnesota location. We are a growing company looking for someone to join our team and assist our current Office Manager in streamlining our financial operations. This role will directly contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring efficient financial workflows, and supporting the overall office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing accountants payable and receivables
• Reconcile financial data and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Prepare and examine financial records, including filing and remitting taxes
• Process invoices and payments promptly and accurately
• Reconcile and analyze employee expenditures
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal control
• Prepare financial reports to support month and year-end reconciliation

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year Associate's Degree in Accounting
• 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to utilize strong communication skills and work collaboratively with team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
