A boutique real estate law firm in Midtown New York is seeking a Real Estate Partner/Counsel with 6 years of experience primarily representing real estate investors and developers in commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling sales, acquisitions, financings, leasing, and due diligence for commercial real estate clients.

Portable business is a plus, but not a requirement.

Strong work-life balance firm with hybrid work schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent real estate investors and developers in commercial real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, financings, and leasing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and other legal contracts related to real estate.
  • Oversee due diligence for commercial real estate transactions, ensuring thorough review of documents and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on real estate financing transactions, both on Lender and Borrower side.
  • Develop and maintain relationships strategic client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, financings, leasing, and due diligence.
  • Bar membership in New York is required.
  • Proven experience representing real estate investors and developers in complex transactions.
  • Ability to manage a portable, cash flow business is a plus.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of real estate law, financing, zoning, and land use regulations.
  • Client management and business development skills, with a focus on maintaining and growing a robust client base.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.

  • Proven client relationship management and business development abilities.

Benefits:

  • Compensation structure primarily based on business origination, with additional incentives for contributions to other firm matters.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year
