OPTOMETRIC LIASON (ODL)
Essential Functions:

The ODL performs a range of duties which includes working the assigned Illinois territory. This role plays a key component in growing sales and revenue by encouraging referring Optometrists to send patients and co-manage with KEI. The major focus will be on increasing cataract and refractive consults. Next is to drive increased retina, glaucoma, and general ophthalmology patients. They are also responsible for growing LipiFlow referrals to KEI. Lastly, they will call on Medical Doctors and Dermatologists for Oculoplastic referrals. The ODL is responsible for account data input into Compulink (EMR system) and having a collaborative relationship with the internal OD Liaisons and Patient Education Consultants.
- Meets and exceeds the necessary volume of cataract and refractive consults
- Meets and exceeds revenue and patient volume goals for their territory
- Meets and tracks all potential prospects for Premium/Refractive/Lasik patients in the IL territory
- Meets or exceeds established sales goals for the number (#) of LipiFlow closings, Oculoplastic & Aesthetic closings and new account referrals
- Effectively utilizes the KEI consultative sales tracking and Compulink data entry
- Prepares all paperwork necessary to close the sale for new OD business
- Works closely with the internal departments, surgical scheduling, billing processes, internal referrals and marketing team so the patient experience remains high-level
- Manages and maintains records of completed transactions for all sales quotas
- Manages the follow-up process by reaching out to potential OD’s whom have already expressed an interest in KEI advanced technology to help educate them on the KEI process, follow up on patients who may have cancelled treatments
- Participates, as needed, in assisting with marketing efforts to increase patient lead generation/ brand/ CE events/ OD roundtable events
- Takes responsibility to keep informed and educated on the latest technology KEI offers for LASIK and all cataract and advanced technology premium procedures
- Attends and participates in the development and execution of the KEI Consultative Sales Process and related training
- Possesses a collaborative team-oriented attitude

- Ability to collaborate across departments and build effected relationships with internal and external customers to achieve goals

Travel required
- Frequent travel between multiple Chicagoland locations is to be expected
Required Education and Experience:
- College Degree or a minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience and/or training in field sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills skills (2 years consultative B2C selling experience)
- Strong presentation, communication and rapport building skills
- Self-motivation, hunter mentality, drive and initiative
- An outgoing and confident approach
- Ability to establish immediate rapport with prospective OD’s, MD’s and staff
- Proficient in computers and relevant software applications and practice management technology including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Preferred Experience:
- Customer Service/Concierge experience
- Cash pay healthcare practice experience
- Ophthalmic/Optometric background
- EMR Experience
- Spanish or Polish Speaking is a bonus
- Consulting Experience
