SUMMARY : The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) assumes responsibility and accountability in the delivery of patient care within his / her scope of practice in accordance with state and federal regulations. The C.N.A. demonstrates good observational skills in monitoring physiological and behavioral status of residents. The C.N.A. satisfactorily performs and document daily nursing care given, maintains awareness to resident's comfort and safety needs, participates in IDT Conference when needed and contributes to resident care plan. The C.N.A. demonstrates knowledge of Standard Precaution and participates in department Infection Control Program. Demonstrates initiative and accepts assigned responsibilities. The C.N.A. participates in the department Performance Improvement Program. The C.N.A. may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and / or hazardous materials, which may result in a possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and / or harmful elements.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum Experience : Six (6) months related experience preferred
- Required License / Certification : Current California C.N.A Certification, BLS; ABM / MAB / CPI certification (90 days upon hire)
- Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language
- Physical Requirements : Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Review physical activities and working conditions for this position
