JOB REQUIREMENT
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in estate management and/or mill operation will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of mill processes, machinery, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research) is required. Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and applications will be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good reporting writing skill
- Good leadership and teamwork skills
- Willing to work in plantation-based locations and on shifts.
- Assist in supervising and coordinating mill operations to ensure smooth processing and optimal productivity.
- Support in managing and supervising mill staff, including operators, technicians, and support personnel.
- Assist in implementing maintenance schedules to ensure machinery and equipment are in good working condition.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of total preventive maintenance for mill machinery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and hazards.
- Monitor and support quality control processes to ensure palm oil production meets industry and company standards.
- Assist in procurement and inventory management of raw materials and supplies needed for mill operations.
- Aid in optimizing resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Support in preparing and monitoring the operational budget while implementing cost-control measures.
- Maintain accurate records of mill activities, including production statistics, maintenance activities, and financial performance.
- Assist in preparing and submitting reports to the Commercial & Sustainability Department and coordinating with the Mill & Engineering Department.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Assist in evaluating staff performance and implementing strategies to improve productivity and morale.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales departments to ensure smooth mill operations.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
