KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Director, Audit Resource Management - Operational & Strategy Leader to join our Audit Resource Management organization.
Responsibilities:
- Along with the Partner-in-charge of Resource Management and the Managing Director of Resource Management develop and implement strategy in the resource management function to meet the continuing changing needs of the Audit practice; develop and implement strategies for effective resource planning and allocation to meet project and organizational goals; monitor and manage resource capacity to ensure the organization can meet current and future demands
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance resource management efficiency and effectiveness including development of standard operating procedures; analyze resource utilization data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for improving the resource management processes; identify areas for which technology would enhance the process, including efficiency and effectiveness of the function
- Implement and ensure the operation of the System of Quality Management (SOQM) controls related to resource assignments in Audit to ensure compliance with required regulations and expectations
- Lead and mentor a team of resource management professionals providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth; oversee resource-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial constraints
- Work closely with various departments, including HR, finance, and operations, to align resource management practices with organizational objectives; maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders to understand resource needs and provide updates on resource availability and allocation
- Minimum ten years of recent leadership experience optimizing resource allocation within a fast-paced environment, preferably within a public accounting firm or service environment with large groups of people involving offshoring, hybrid working and technology deployment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
- Strong background in resource planning, project management, and team leadership; proven experience in resource management with strong leadership skills and familiarity with professional services, especially audit firms, is preferred
- Strong ability to interact confidently and respectfully with senior executives and junior team members and have problem solving capabilities of strategic thinking, influencing outcomes and facilitating solutions
- Demonstrate ethical behavior, including tact and discretion in handling confidential information; must demonstrate the ability to network and build internal relationships internally with key stake holders
- Experience in delivering data and analysis to senior stakeholders and familiarity with process improvement methodologies and experience in driving operational efficiencies
