KPMG is currently seeking a Proposal and Pursuit Professional to join our Strategic Pursuit Group (SPG) Audit Center of Excellence (COE).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the proposal/pursuit team throughout process, working on large, complex proposals and pursuits, with teams across the US, and sales materials that facilitate proposal creation
- Utilize your knowledge of pursuit lifecycle to assist in winning work; drive and cascade innovative approaches and ideas within the SPG team, while becoming immersed in a specified part of the firm to grow your knowledge of their pursuit journey, tools, and content needs
- Share and execute best practices around purposeful relationship outreach efforts for significant target accounts that are customized to anticipated runway to cultivate new, and existing connections with a wide net of individual key buyers and influencers; share and execute best practices around purposeful relationship outreach efforts, lessons learned
- Work closely with firm leadership and senior partners on strategic proposal and pursuit opportunities to articulate key differentiators, which will lead to a compelling value proposition; develop, edit, write and project-manage proposals from Request for Proposal (RFP) to close and liaise closely with graphics and other firm services to ensure on-time delivery of all pursuit materials
- Review and analyze solicitation and related RFP documents; develop and enforce the proposal and pursuit schedule; create an outline-compliance matrix to direct the proposal writing process, support pursuit teams through the execution of the pursuit sales methodology, value proposition, competitor analysis, and sales strategy
- Develop relationships with key firm team members to facilitate an increased reach for the Center of Excellence, enabling broader access to resources and data within the industry group with a goal of increasing consistency in messaging and pursuit strategy
- Minimum five years of recent demonstrated experience in proposal/pursuit management and project management; preferably within a professional services environment; experience in audit services, sales enablement, and/or client service experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in liberal arts, marketing or communications, creative writing, project management, or related degree; master's degree from an accredited college/university and familiarity with accounting or professional services is a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive, corporate environment, dealing with executive-level decision makers and critical business issues; break down complicated subject matter and write clearly, concisely and persuasively; sound business sense and strong editorial skills required
- Independent, self-starter and creative thinker who is extremely motivated and comfortable sharing ideas, discussing constructive feedback, and providing hands-on tactical support with a strong client service and results-oriented mindset
- Capability to work collaboratively with all proposal stakeholders, including partners, engagement team members, editorial and graphics professionals, and offshore team members; ability to think
