KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Risk Management Policy to join our Risk Management policy organization.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and provide support to Policy Office lead and various business process group (BPG) and business stakeholders to support risk management policy projects, in accordance with the Policy Governance Model, including development or updates to policy and design of implementation, ensuring alignment to the firm's most important risks, regulatory and legal obligations
- Aid the Risk Management Policy team with the governance across all risk management policy updates, including coordination with respective groups to ensure the issuance of new or updated policy as well as the associated communications are completely timely and accurately
- Monitor regularly of the policy office mailbox; respond to inquiries or facilitate the timely response with appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Support and maintain policy office portal and governance activities related to the biennial review of the Risk Management Manual (US) and maintenance of the subject matter professionals listing,
- Assist with awareness and communication activities, including but not limited to, management of Policy Office communication strategy, execution of communication in accordance with procedures and development as well as execution of training and awareness related to policy projects
- Engage in various continuous improvement policy office projects and initiatives, as necessary
- Minimum five years of recent experience, ideally in a professional services firm, working in a complex and diverse cross-cultural environment with impeccable judgement, highest standards of integrity and the ability to proactively address the perspectives of others
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with work experience in professional services or policy
- Work knowledge of risk management policy topics, business processes and applicable laws, regulations and professional standards required, along with a background of policy development methodologies as well as the process mindset required to identify, assess, and address challenges with respect to operationalizing policy requirements
- Ability to build strong relationships, collaborate and negotiate with risk management colleagues and functional policy stakeholders, including business stakeholders, in the support of development and implementation of policy content
- Confidence to engage with risk management and business leadership, while establishing oneself as a trusted advisor of the Policy Office
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently with excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong written and verbal communication abilities; capability to have a broad perspective, while maintaining attention to detail; aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and the ability to maintain the resiliency needed to see complex projects to conclusion, despite setbacks
