KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Execute / review the day-to-day activities of a Federal Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC) program, including the establishment of foundational OMB A-123 policies / processes, governance frameworks, and strategies / implementation plans.
- Develop engagement deliverables, working papers / supporting documentation, and provide oversight of staff
- Identify, assess, respond, and monitor organizational risks, including the development of risk response plans and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across multiple organizations / business units
- Support the implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) risk management tools, and integration of ERM / RMIC programs with various management activities under OBM A-123, OMB A-11, and other related regulatory / compliance standards
- Leverage analytical and statistical solutions to analyze risks, derive key trends / observations, report recommendations, contribute to design, and analysis of reports
- Interface with senior leaders around risk issues at the highest levels of the organization
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across KPMG teams to proactively support ERM and Internal Controls Transformation initiatives
- A minimum of three years of experience in government auditing, risk management, and/or internal controls in accordance with Office of Management & Budget (OMB) guidance; US Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience / knowledge in areas of: A-123, financial audit readiness, federal financial audit, enterprise risk, and federal financial management
- Experience identifying / analyzing business process risks, conducting internal controls assessments, developing / executing controls test plans, and supporting the development of corrective actions to remediate control deficiencies
- Demonstrated understanding of fundamental technology risk management concepts within the federal government
- Strong proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
- Ability to travel to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance
