Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic leader spearheading the strategy, delivery, and management of our Digital Nexus Strategic Business Engagement and Portfolio Management functions; take ownership of the team's charter and strategic roadmap, advancing the overall maturity of the function; leverage generative AI and automation solutions to shift focus towards high-value work and improving our client experience
- Implement and enhance the existing portfolio management framework, incorporating performance measures and metrics that provide stakeholders with clear visibility of risks, issues, and overall portfolio health; identify and incorporate new tools such as AI agents to streamline processes and enhance transparency; escalate and address risks proactively with stakeholders and Digital leadership, offering innovative and simplified solutions
- Act as a key advisor, consistently introducing creative ideas to elevate client and teammate experiences; drive alignment between clients and Digital Nexus teams to ensure our Digital Nexus portfolio of programs and projects meets business requirements; champion innovation and challenge the status quo with a relentless focus on exceeding client expectations
- Create a supportive and empowering environment for your team; act as an advocate for team members and a champion for the function within the organization; remove obstacles, provide coaching and guidance, and foster a safe space where team members can thrive; empower your team to achieve their highest potential and drive meaningful contributions to the organization; provide stability while navigating ambiguity during the maturity journey, ensuring your team remains focused and resilient
- Leverage expertise in technology strategy, client engagement, and portfolio management to counsel leadership on complex issues impacting the Digital Nexus organization and firm; drive impactful innovation that creates client value and enhances overall effectiveness; lead through influence with other Digital leaders, peers, and teams to foster collaboration and achieve collective success
- Champion the mission and vision of the Digital Nexus organization as a senior leadership team member to foster a culture focused on value delivery and business-centric outcomes; serve as the senior executive escalation point to ensure business expectations, goals and objectives are met for all clients
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum twelve years of recent progressive leadership experience within technology organizations, including significant experience in managing technology portfolios and delivering large-scale projects and programs
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; relevant certifications in technology strategy, portfolio management, and/or project management (such as PMP) are preferred
- Demonstrated capability to lead and empower high-performing teams, creating a collaborative culture that drives excellence; proven expertise to implement and enhance portfolio management frameworks and leverage emerging technologies to drive business transformation and achieve strategic goals
- Established track record in collaborating with senior leaders across functions to align technology initiatives with business priorities; strong client relationship management and strategic advisory skills
- Able to quickly grasp new technologies and concepts; practical knowledge of full lifecycle project management, SDLC, Agile methodologies (for example, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), package implementations, IT transformation programs, and applying industry best practices
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of negotiating and influencing effectively in a collaborative environment
