KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Managing Director to join our Mergers & Acquisitions practice.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in developing our Mergers and Acquisitions Tax practice by managing and delivering due diligence and tax structuring services across multiple engagements
- Act as the lead KPMG contact for certain clients and communicate findings and opportunities to clients
- Support clients dealing with complex issues including bankruptcy and debt restructuring
- Build, manage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
- Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm, including identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities by collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices
- Contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice staff level team members
- Fourteen plus years of experience in mergers and acquisition tax within a public accounting firm, a corporate tax department or a law firm
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent
- Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters in various industries, strong experience with consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs
- Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
