K-Pot offers both worlds of Korean BBQ and Asian Hot Pot.
What is Hot Pot? Hot pot is an Asian cooking method, prepared with a
simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, containing a variety of
East Asian foods and ingredients. While your hot pot is simmering,
ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table in front
of your eyes, in a manner similar to fondue.
Korean barbecue known locally as (고기구이) gogi-gui, “Meat Roast”,
refers to the Korean cuisine method of grilling meat such as beef,
chicken or pork, that you prepare yourself at your table. Our menu
offers an extensive selection of fresh quality meats, seafood, noodles,
and vegetables for Hot Pot and BBQ experience.
Role Overview
Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring that they are
seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a
waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus,
accepting phone calls, making sure that tables are cleared and set,
following established guidelines, procedures, and policies as prescribed
by company standards.
Cashiers operate a cash register, communicate with customers, and
assist other restaurant staff as needed. Responsibilities in this career
can include processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments
breaking change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for
transactions. Restaurant cashier duties also involve greeting guests,
helping resolve customer complaints, and maintaining knowledge of the
menu and sales policies.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Primary job function is to greet guests in a friendly, welcoming
manner. Entry doors should be held open whenever possible,
for arriving guests.
- Seat guests at an appropriate table while engaging in casual
conversation, taking into account special needs (children, high
chairs, and party size). Rotating of new tables for service staff is
necessary for an equitable division of the day’s work.
- Menu knowledge should be extensive. Awareness and ability to
describe all food, drink, and special menu items.
- Answering the phone within three rings. Taking a message for
management, if appropriate. Taking TOGO orders and entering
in the POS. Processing payment for TOGO orders, and ensuring
accuracy of order prior to giving to guests.
- Teamwork is essential to a smooth operating work environment.
Assisting servers in maintaining sections throughout the shift.
- Should possess the ability to multi-task and be aware of several
tables progression through the dining experience.
- Cash handling: closing out of all checks in an orderly and timely
fashion, upon service staff presenting payment.
- Providing all departing guests with a sincere “Thank You” and
invitation to return to K-Pot. Entry doors should be held open
whenever possible, for departing guests. If a guest relays that
an issue was present during their experience, get a manager
immediately.
- Ability to lift boxes occasionally up to 25lbs. Standing on one’s
feet in a fast paced environment for a period of approximately 4
hours or longer.
- Ensures that work areas are clean and equipment, tools, and
supplies are properly stored.
- Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work and cleaning
duties as needed. Maybe asked to perform other related tasks
or duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
Prior experience with a restaurant group is a plus!
