SUMMARY: We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact in our Workforce Development Office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks. This role is essential for creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors while supporting the office's operations and workforce development initiatives
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Answer and route incoming calls, taking messages when necessary and providing information as needed.
- Address inquiries and concerns from customers and visitors, providing exceptional service at all times.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
- Fax, copy and mail correspondence.
- Maintain control of the front office reception area.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.
- Assist other departments with administrative tasks and projects as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of two (2) years in a receptionist, customer service or administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit, community service, or workforce development organization.
- Experience working with adults in the workforce system and those disconnected from services highly preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, video conferencing (Zoom, Teams) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
