SUMMARY
The Concessions Operations Intern will assist the Concessions department by performing a wide range of tasks and functions to ensure Gillette Stadium continues to be the premier location for Sports and Entertainment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rotate through various functions within the Concessions Department including front of house management, warehousing, purchasing, and staffing to gain valuable insight into how professional sports venues function and how the foodservice operation serves up to 65,000 people on any given event day.
- Attend department meetings.
- Assist Concessions with day-to-day tasks between events to ensure preparedness, as well as execution of large scale ticketed events.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibility
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equal technical degree preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Effective communication skills, oral and written
- Able to effectively plan ahead
- Strong team player orientation and customer focus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively and professionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment is often loud
- Will work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold
- This is a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
