What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Manager position at Kraft Tank?

The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing Kraft Tank Corporation’s Parts Department at the Oklahoma City location. This role is designed to oversee the operations of both retail sales and warehouse operations to ensure efficient business operations, while continuously striving to deliver an exceptional customer service experience to our customers. Additionally, the Parts Manager will work side-by-side with the Director of Parts and General Manager on high level support initiatives to further improve the overall process flow and execution of the department. Your duties will also include daily supervision, management, and motivation of the Inside Parts Sales Team and Warehouse Team with a focus on fostering collaboration and strong department culture.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage all Parts Department functions including sales, inventory control, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and recordkeeping.
  • Oversee the processing of open tickets monthly, as well as conducting revenue/budget reviews on a bi-weekly basis to ensure all documentation, billing, and payments occur timely to meet all internal and external process milestones.
  • Monitor progress towards budgeted goals and implement cost controls and reductions as necessary.
  • Coordinating cross-functionally with the Service, Sales, and Leasing team as needed to ensure parts services are completed in a timely manner to achieve parts sales goals, objectives, and consistency.
  • Coordinating parts promotions and sales programs through developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
  • Oversee and manage the Vendor Management Inventory Program for your location.
  • Assist the Director of Parts with developing the processes and procedures necessary to support their strategic plans to expand our customer base and increase market share.
  • Responsible for managing and approving Parts Department personnel timesheets and time off request at your location.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating commitment, expertise in processes, and a strong work ethic.
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly parts processing and activity goals to hold your team accountable for ensuring all metrics and deadlines are achieved.
  • Conduct coaching conversations as needed to develop skills, adapt to new situations, and increase their efficiency.
  • Prepare and assign individual actions plans and targets to all team members with the consultation of Human Resources.
  • Work with Human Resources and management on workforce planning, recruitment, and interviewing.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as directed and required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and complete any required screenings.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience with inventory systems, warehouse operations, relevant industry terminology and parts identification.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, encourage, and provide discipline to a team.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in CRM and Salesforce.
  • Highly proficient in Office 365 Applications. Master in Excel.
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading.
  • Qualified candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communications, the ability to multi-task and a passion for quality, creative work.
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, climb and sit for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal skills with customers, management, and team members.
  • Computer work as needed in an office setting to include inventory programs and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Travel as needed to other Company locations by vehicle, plane, or train.
