Job Title : Financial Transaction Payment Processor / Reconciliation Specialist
Location : Knoxville, Tennessee
Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Transaction Payment Processor / Reconciliation Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for processing payments / refunds, investigating, researching, and reconciling transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Transaction Management :
Process payments, refunds, and adjustments across various payment platforms (credit cards, ACH, wire transfers).
o Perform in-depth research on payment processing transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies between our loan servicing system and third party ledger
o Reconcile loan payments, refunds, balance adjustments, etc. ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
o Investigate transaction discrepancies, initiate corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution within required company standards
o Develop and maintain documentation of reconciling processes and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
o Collaborate with internal and external teams, including finance, loan servicing, and customer service departments, to resolve reconciliation issues
o Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues effectively and timely
Qualifications :
Proficiency in payment processing systems, financial software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), etc.
