THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily and ad hoc accounting and finance activities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare consolidation packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
- Prepare and manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Manage vendor payments and expense reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead the annual budget process and rolling forecasts, tracking actual expenses against budget to ensure fiscal discipline.
- Prepare monthly managerial P&L, providing leadership with insights into the performance of each entity and organization.
- Maintain and enforce adherence to internal control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Continuously assess and improve current processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Manage accounting ERP systems (Kissflow, Concur, and SAP) to ensure proper workflow and approval processes.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tax filings in compliance with applicable laws.
- Work with external accounting firms for financial statement audits or reviews.
- Manage payroll entries, 401(k) reconciliations, and other employee benefits accounting.
- Supervise, mentor, and train senior and junior staff, providing guidance on technical accounting matters.
