Kratos SRE in Birmingham, AL is seeking a master's student to fill this internship while completing their master's curriculum. This position will be working as part of a team within the Space & Propulsion Systems Group. This will entail supporting and assisting engineers with materials evaluation projects for systems within the Department of Defense, NASA, and their government subcontractors. Additional duties include assisting other engineers in the facility and test development to push and research new technologies in the labs and propose testing efforts in support of RFP/RFQs.

Experience and Skills
Required Experience:
- U. S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or applicable engineering discipline.
- Currently pursuing Master's degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
- Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated to continually expand knowledge and skills related to this position.
