Mission Planning and Execution Analyst

Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services is currently seeking a Mission Planning and Execution Analyst to participate in Mission, Planning, and Execution (MP&E) for the MACH-TB program. The MP&E Analyst will assist the Mission Planning and Execution Director and analysis team with mission design for hypersonic testing. This is an entry level opportunity and responsibilities of this role will include working closely with the customer to support experiment selection, defining test objectives, validating flight predictions, assessing mission requirements compliance, managing schedules, data reviews, and providing the documentation necessary for multiple launches and campaigns per year between multiple launch providers.

JOB LOCATION:

Huntsville, AL

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with coordinating the inputs of various team members to identify and call attention to potential conflicts in availability, readiness, and configurations.
• Assist with briefing updates and status on assigned activities. Assist in organizing and facilitating incremental reviews. Assist with adjudicating and reconciling technical and operational issues. Assist with scheduling regular coordination meetings, and help to actively manage the completion of delegated tasks.
• Assist with Mission design, strategic planning, and verification of performance prediction for current and future launch campaigns.
• Assist with providing oversight to the program’s technical teams, analysts, and other mission planning personnel.
• Assist with defining and managing risks in terms of resources, personnel, and schedule across all missions and campaigns.
• Assist with overseeing vehicle trade studies and defining of high-level mission requirements.
• Assist with IMS inputs and define critical paths from various groups and subcontractors from mission initiation to launch to meet the programs major milestones.

• Must be a US citizen
• Must currently have and/or be capable of obtaining a secret security clearance
• Adept problem solver and possess critical thinking skills
• Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
• Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization such as employees, management and internal / external sponsors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Must have valid driver's license/vehicle insurance sufficient to access military facilities
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline.
  
  

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Office environment
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
