Description :

The Grinder / Finisher is responsible for Grinding, sanding, or polishing, using hand tools or hand-held power tools, finishing a variety of sheet metal parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Establish a Safety-First team environment with all team associates, including proper use of PPE.
• Demonstrate a culture of 5S awareness, team wide, to maintain organization and cleanliness. Grind, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
• Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met.
• Trim, scrape, or deburr parts
• Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or worktables, using hand tools if necessary.
• Repair and maintain equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools or required methods if necessary.
• File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects to conform to layouts, or blueprint specifications.
• Transfer equipment, objects, or parts to specified work areas.
