TheiElectrical Technicianiwill fabricate and install cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and CCA's of various complexities using wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions. May work with engineering, to diagnose and solve problems that occur during the manufacturing process.
Essential Job Functions:
- Fabricate cables and harnesses per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings and special instructions
- Install cables and harnesses in training devices per installation drawings and/or special instructions
- Wire electro-mechanical sub-assemblies per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions
- Perform continuity tests on cables, harnesses and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
- Evaluate and suggest changes or improvements to engineering drawings as required
- Work with shop management and other company personnel to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks
- Extensive soldering
- Work largely unsupervised in performance of daily tasks
Non-Essential Job Duties
- Work effectively and relate well with others
- Read and understand wire lists, wire diagrams, and drawings
- Good verbal communication skills
- Competent in many phases of electrical manufacturing

Required Experience:
- Ability to use hand tools
- Soldering
- Ability to read wire diagrams
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
- Previous military experience is preferred
- This is a temporary position.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Work in a smoke free environment
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
- Long periods of sitting
- The employee will frequently climb, kneel crouch, and/or balance
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
