Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician who has a minimum of 5years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and a strong understanding of irrigation systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens and landscapes. The Irrigation Technician will work closely with clients to assess their irrigation needs and provide effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Installation: Install new irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and controllers.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, such as checking for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and ensuring proper water pressure and coverage.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues, including electrical and hydraulic problems.
- Upgrades: Upgrade existing systems to improve water efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Customer Service: Communicate with clients to understand their irrigation needs and preferences, and provide recommendations for system improvements and water conservation.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems with irrigation systems, including leaks, clogged nozzles, and malfunctioning controllers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Seasonal Tasks: Perform tasks such as spring startup, controller programming, and winterization.
- Inventory Management: Manage an inventory of spare and replacement parts.
- Documentation: Document and maintain logs, records, and inventory.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe work environment and report safety violations.
