- Systematically and efficiently analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to KraussMaffei equipment.
- Commission KraussMaffei equipment and follow standard procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and successful handoff.
- Review work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified while on site with manager and customer as needed.
- Create thorough and detailed service reports that include description of visit, work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified.
- Conduct customer training relating to the operation and maintenance of KraussMaffei equipment and products.
- Lead and train less experienced service personnel as needed.
- Follow standardized procedures.
- Collect requisite information to create standardized procedures when opportunities are identified.

- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics as well as navigate OEM documentation
- Practical competency in safe mechanical/electrical tool use (hand and torque wrenches, calipers, multimeter, power tools, air tools, hydraulic testing equipment)
- Ability to operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, scissor-lifts and other mobile lifts
- Understands equipment function: Able to identify equipment functional locations and state general equipment functions for injection molding machine sub-assemblies (clamp unit, plasticizing unit, injection unit, hydraulic unit, and robots)
- Basic knowledge of electrical components (480V/220V, fuses, relays, contactors, motors)
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming and function (Allen Bradley, Sigmatek)
- Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies (conveyors, sprockets, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, centrifugal pumps, vacuum pumps)
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic conveying and troubleshooting (controls, actuators, or valves)
- The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness required.
This is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with paid overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Actual working hours may vary based on needs of customers.
- Successful completion of high school, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related experienced in a manufacturing environment or technical field
- Competency in workflow software (MS Office, Innosoft, Concur, SAP)
