We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs of various breeds and sizes. This role involves walking dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety, and providing companionship during their outings. The Dog Walker will also communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behavior and needs.

Service Areas: Our services are currently available in the following areas: Elyria, Avon, Lorain, North Ridgeville, and Sheffield.

Employee Requirements: To be a part of our team, candidates should possess:

• Strong pet care and sitting skills
• Ability to provide consistency and routine for pets
• Experience with pets
• Basic knowledge of pet health and wellness
• Understanding of pet behavior and needs
• Certification in Pet First Aid and CPR (needed within 2 weeks of starting)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Strong scheduling abilities
• Passionate about animals
• Works independent with the ability to be a team player.

Current Available Position: We are currently looking for dedicated Dog Walkers who can provide daily walks and exercise for our furry clients. Future positions such as Manager, Kennel Cleaner, In-home Sitting, and Kennel Helper may become available as our business grows. Please note that boarding-related positions are optional and not mandatory for this role.

Work Experience: Working with Krazy Dog Lady is fulfilling and dynamic, as you engage with wonderful pets and their owners. Our assignment process is straightforward, with clear pet sitter classifications to suit different needs and skill sets.

Responsibilities:

• Provide mid-day dog walks and outdoor time for our clients while they are at work or away during the day.
• Conduct visits typically between 9 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with some visits possible from 6 AM - 9 PM and on weekends.
• Maintain weekend availability.
• Maintain physical fitness and be prepared to work and travel in various weather conditions; this is an active role that requires sustained energy, even during rainy, snowy, humid, or hot days.
• Effectively communicate with Krazy Dog Lady, fellow sitters/walkers, and clients by promptly responding to emails, phone calls, and text messages.
• Responsibilities
• Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the pet owner.
• Practice proper animal handling techniques to ensure the safety of both the dog and the handler.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with pet owners, providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure that all dogs are securely leashed and restrained at all times while in public areas.
• Clean up after dogs during walks, adhering to local regulations regarding pet waste disposal.
• Provide updates to pet owners about their dog's activities and well-being after each walk.

Compensation Package:

• Job Types: Part-time, Contract
• Pay Range: $12 - $20 per hour
• Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
• 1099 contract
• Commission pay
• Paid per project
• Performance bonus
• Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed

Qualifications:

• Live in or adjacent to our service area
• Access to a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license (required)
• Exhibit unwavering reliability, as attendance is crucial; absenteeism is not tolerated due to the dependability needed for the care of pets.
• Ability to provide professional references
• Willingness to submit to a background check
• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus, along with skills in animal restraint and handling, but not required.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Ability to lift heavy items as needed, such as large dog carriers or supplies.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in various weather conditions.
