About The Role

You will be an integral part of a multi-member on-site construction support team, ensuring every detail is executed with precision. Your mission will be to uphold compliance with design specifications and maintain top-tier quality standards, delivering turnkey projects that are on schedule and within budget, making a lasting impact on the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site discipline-specific contractors with a team of Construction Supervisors and staff, all reporting to the KOA Construction Manager.
- Monitor the work of subcontractors to ensure it meets project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of subcontractor work and approve completed tasks before moving on to the next phase of the project.
- Ensure that all subcontractors comply with contractual obligations, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain QAQC documentation integrity by performing spot checks of critical documents as the construction process is being completed.
- Maintain accurate records of subcontractor activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that all subcontractors comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the contractors to ensure that the final construction documentation package is precise and systematically organized before it is submitted to the client.
- Management of punch list tasks and project closeout requirements.
- Create and organize daily field reports, orders, RFIs, and project photos for the client and project team.
- This position requires on-site presence at project locations with scheduled rotations off at regular intervals to be coordinated with the construction supervision team to maintain site management throughout the entirety of construction.
- This position has the option to be virtual or based out of one of KOA’s offices across the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field plus a minimum of (5) five years’ experience OR a minimum of (10) ten years related experience in the construction industry working with industrial trades.
- OSHA 30 Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification is preferred but not required.
- Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods.
- Skilled in short-term planning, look-ahead schedules, and mitigating schedule conflicts.
- Adapt quickly to changes and create response plans as required to share with the project team.
- Strong field experience with safety audits, quality control/quality assurance, and compliance with industry regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of contractor management in both Open Shop & Union environments.
- Exceptional people skills with a passion for team success and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
