About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician II to join our team at the Kreher Family Farms crop shop. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, as well as providing leadership and guidance to junior mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance checks, diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, and conduct preventative maintenance tasks to extend the life of our equipment.
- Leadership and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and compliance, provide guidance and direction to junior mechanics, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and internal customers, and respond promptly to requests for assistance.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required; associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: ASE Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician Certification preferred; NYS Inspectors License preferred.
- Licenses: Class A Commercial Driver's License required.
