Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Logistics Manager located in Manheim, PA. As a Procurement Manager at Kreider Farms, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, overseeing inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient procurement of eggs to meet customer demands. You will also be responsible for managing packaging operations, client-specific labeling requirements, and coordinating the logistics to ensure timely deliveries. The role will require strong planning, scheduling, and leadership skills to guide a small logistics team while ensuring cost-efficiency and high-quality service standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent math and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data, plan production runs, and manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstock situations. The role will also involve managing supply logistics and ensuring compliance with the company's procurement policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Equivalent Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably in food production or packaging.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel for data tracking, forecasting, and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills in Supplier Evaluation, Procurement, and Contract Negotiation
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams.
- Familiarity with logistics, inventory management, and production processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant supply chain or procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in the agricultural or food production industry is a plus
