Product Support Engineer – Steel Industry
Kress is looking for a full time Product Support Engineer – Steel Industry to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The Product Support Engineer will provide a single point of contact for the customer base and provide direct technical support as required to ensure customer satisfaction, machine availability, and product confidence.
Responsibilities –
Coordinate, manage, and implement key customer site visits and meetings on a regular basis
Coordinate and manage customer related inquiries and responses to product related issues with the assistance of relevant internal departments and resources
Act as the primary point of contact for customer related inquiries for the steel industry product while utilizing necessary internal departments and resources to best deliver prompt, reliable information
Collect and analyze field data and incorporate product improvements to new and existing steel industry product
Provide support to the Field Representatives during new steel industry product commissioning and conduct follow up meetings with all necessary department heads
Maintain and implement product improvement processes
Qualifications -
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (will consider previous equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
Minimum 2-3 years work experience in heavy equipment (steel/construction industry preferred)
Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems
Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Unigraphics/NX preferred)
Strong ability to successfully multitask
Availability to travel 20% -30% (some travel may require short notice)
