As a Restaurant Expeditor, you act as the crucial link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring smooth and efficient food service by coordinating orders, managing the flow of dishes, and maintaining communication between staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
- Order Coordination:
- Receive and process food orders from servers.
- Ensure orders are accurate and complete.
- Manage the flow of orders to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
- Communicate order status and any necessary changes to the kitchen staff.
- Food Presentation and Quality:
- Oversee the final preparation and presentation of dishes before they leave the kitchen.
- Ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
- Add garnishes and condiments as needed.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain clear and effective communication between the kitchen and dining room staff.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Assist servers with any questions or requests.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Monitor the flow of food and ensure a smooth service experience for guests.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, such as stocking stations or cleaning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Customer Service:
- Handle customer complaints or issues related to food orders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with the dining experience.
