Main duties and responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE
Lab Technicians are responsible for attaining and controlling the quality status of raw and finished product in the Laminate flooring plant. They are responsible for conducting all on-going quality audits, inspections, and lab tests. The Lab Technician is also responsible for inspecting all incoming raw material, completing proper documentation, and inputting all required data into a computerized data base. Additionally, use of proper tooling and equipment required for the position.
Further duties may include assisting the finishing department and press cleaners when requested in order to support continuous operations on the production line.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Read and comprehend work instructions of a technical nature and manipulate metric measurements.
- A keen attention to detail, problem solving skills, exceptional communication skills- written and verbal
- The ability to troubleshoot issues during production, document issues, and follow up.
- The ability to successfully meet the physical demands of the position
- Perfect or near-perfect attendance record
- The ability to be self-motivated and multitask without constant supervision
- This position is required to work a rotating 12-hr. shift including nights, weekends and holidays, and possible fill ins for other positions during absences.
