Krueger Sheet Metal, a sheet metal manufacturer, commercial roofing contractor, and architectural sheet metal installer, is seeking a Roofing Foreman.
The Roofing foreman will supervise and coordinate the install and repair low-slope roofing and waterproofing projects. This will include scheduling the crew of roofers, equipment operation, and jobsite housekeeping and organization. As the Roofing Foreman, you will also be expected to provide training to the roofing crew in their tasks. SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise and coordinate the duties and/or responsibilities of roof workers
- Consult blueprints, designs, and details for proper roof installation
- Ensure roof details and installation meet manufacturer warranty requirements
- Create and enforce employee schedules to meet construction timelines
- Oversee a crew of 3-10 roofers/laborers
- Oversee the training of new crew members
- Tracking of material stock to ensure the project is completed on schedule
- Restoring, removal, and replacement of various roof systems
- Practice extreme procedures to ensure the protection of customer’s property during the roofing process
- Protecting the building and buildings adjacent for any projects currently working on
- Document all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budget
- Maintain a safe work environment according to OSHA standards
- Lead daily safety meetings
- Complete daily reports to document production and any changes in work
- Communicate with customers throughout the installation
RESPONSIBILITIES
Not limited to
- Installs new roofs and roofing materials on commercial buildings
- Inspects roofs to identify any issues in need of repair and to determine best repair solution
- Measures roof and calculates materials needed to complete the project
- Repairs existing roofs and install replacement roofing materials
- Replaces plywood, joists, or other materials that are damaged or rotting
- Transports materials and equipment via truck to the jobsite
- Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of roofing materials and installation
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Proficient math skills to calculate the amount of materials needed
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in roofing and construction
- Valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work at heights
- Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time to lift and carry roofing materials
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
