Job Description Summary:
Krystal Biotech, Inc is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dynamic Clinical Operations team. The Educator will play a pivotal role in delivering curriculum to a diverse group, including healthcare professionals, staff, pediatric patients and caregivers. The ideal candidate will become a subject matter expert on our rare disease treatments and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive clinical information repository.
*This position will be based in our Pittsburgh office with potential for occasional field travel, as required.

Job Description Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert training on a pre-approved curriculum to various audiences, including healthcare professionals, field personnel, patients, caregivers, and office staff.
- Become a primary point of contact for field nurses and clinical staff, fielding and responding to treatment-related inquiries as a SME and escalating when necessary.
- Develop resource materials and communication plans to help healthcare professionals and families understand therapy procedures, potential outcomes, and ongoing care requirements.
- Create and maintain a clinical repository with rigorous documentation practices; Collaborate with teams to integrate new findings and advancements into clinical practice and training materials.
- Become an in-house expert on our treatments, staying abreast of the latest developments in rare disease and gene therapy.
- Provide comprehensive education on prescribed gene therapy products and recommend resources for patients and caregivers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, office staff, and other clinical staff, proactively addressing their needs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and family support.
- Ensure all activities and programs are conducted in full regulatory compliance; ensure proper documentation and protocols are being followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or RN with equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in clinical nursing, preferably in pediatrics.
- Biotech/Pharma industry experience is a plus.
- Proven track record in clinical education or training.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with numerous cross-functional partners/key stakeholders to deliver an optimized patient experience.
- Strong presentation skills and experience with a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and IXRS/EDC platforms)
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and resources, meet deadlines, and be flexible to changing priorities.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 25% during peak periods).
