Responsibilities
Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers. Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions. Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist.

Pharmacy Technician I Float:
High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
Pharmacy Technician II Float:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Technician training program

Experience
Required:
Pharmacy Technician I Float:
Minimum 6 months pharmacy tech experience OR previous experience as a pharmacy service representative
Pharmacy Technician II Float:
Minimum 2-4 years retail pharmacy experience
Or
Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Preferred:
Pharmacy Technician I Float:
Minimum 2-4 years pharmacy tech experience OR
Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program
HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care Experience
Pharmacy Technician II Float:
HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care Experience

Required:TSBP Registration
Preferred:PTCB Certification

Required:To read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions.
Able to communicate with customer to hand complains and problems
