Maintenance Stockroom Attendant
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check stock inventory physically and through automated systems to validate that restocking is in order.
- Responsible for receiving and stocking received supplies, as well as updating inventory in CMMS.
- Must be able to contact vendors and specify suitable substitution for replacement parts.
- Contact Vendors to ensure they are meeting delivery schedules and preclude missed deliveries.
- Responsible for part repair - determining correct vendor, obtaining return authorization and delivering parts to shipping department for out-going shipment.
- Works with Maintenance Planner and Supervisor, to ensure that parts are staged for jobs.
- Enter Purchase Requisitions for Inventory Re-Order and Non-Stocked items, track Purchase Orders and verify Received Goods in SAP (ERP) system.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist maintenance technicians in obtaining correct replacement parts.
- Weekly cycle count inventory, record results and rectify issues.
- Run errands to pick up/drop off parts and supplies locally, as needed.
- Ensures warehouse is clean, neat and organized.
- Maintain inventory of expendable items and order as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies/procedures and perform all work according to policies and procedures.
- Maintains communication with Maintenance Management to ensure healthy relations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years related experience in a stockroom and/or inventory management.
- Stockroom management background.
- Good personal computer and application software skills.
- Systematic identification and solution of problems.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions.
- SAP (ERP) Experience preferred
- Bigfoot (CMMS) Experience preferred
Education: Associates degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently:
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling <75 lbs.
- Occasionally:
- Overhead work
- Climbing ladders or stairs
- Driving forklifts
- Operating cranes
