Sales & Estimating Representative – Skogman Remodeling & Repair
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Our client, Skogman Remodeling & Repair, is a locally owned and operated full-service remodeling company serving the greater Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area. Formerly D&B Remodeling and HRT Remodeling and Repair, they have built a strong reputation for high-quality remodeling and handyman services. They are growing and looking for a dynamic Sales & Estimating Representative to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Sales & Estimating Representative, you will be the face of Skogman Remodeling & Repair, working directly with homeowners and businesses to understand their remodeling needs, provide estimates, and guide projects from start to finish. You will respond to incoming sales leads and proactively reach out to past and prospective clients.
This role requires a blend of sales expertise, project estimation, and light project management to ensure client satisfaction and quality control throughout the remodeling process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential clients to assess their remodeling or repair needs and recommend solutions.
- Prepare and present estimates for customer approval.
- Manage job pricing decisions on a project-by-project basis.
- Follow up on leads provided by the company and generate new business through outreach.
- Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
- Travel throughout the Cedar Rapids/Corridor area to meet with clients.
- Availability for some early morning or evening hours as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in marketing, construction management, psychology, or sales is a plus).
- 5 years of sales experience, ideally selling construction, remodeling, or home improvement services.
- Experience in construction estimating and project management is highly preferred.
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals.
- Ability to understand customers' needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured on company policy.
- Ability to manage labor and cost aspects of remodeling and repair projects.
