About the Role
This position is primarily in-house (90%) to start and will focus on proactive cold calling and business development to drive trailer sales. You'll be working in a dynamic environment that values both transactional excellence and strategic relationship building. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement:
- Proactively generate new leads through cold calling, follow-ups, and networking.
- Welcome walk-in customers and provide tailored solutions for their trailer and equipment needs.
- Prepare compelling presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
Relationship Building & Team Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business.
- Foster a team-oriented environment within the sales department and across the organization.
- Independently manage daily internet leads and telephone outreach.
Showroom & Lot Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized showroom and trailer lot.
- Assist in marketing inventory through various channels including print and social media.
- Ensure all sales documentation and processes are efficiently managed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the company's value propositions, sales processes, and industry best practices.
- Offer accurate, current product information to all inquiries.
- Embrace a performance-focused culture that rewards accountability and continuous growth.
Experience & Qualifications
Sales Expertise:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service is required.
- Comfortable and effective in cold calling and proactive outreach.
Industry Knowledge:
- Two years in a related field is preferred (knowledge of trailers and basic operational know-how).
- Experience in social media and online sales is a plus.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and impeccable follow-up.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays by appointment.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License.
