Your Role
Reporting to the Customs Road Logistics Customs Clearance Manager you will provide outstanding customer service and complete all tasks and responsibilities related to customs entry transactions. Perform any tasks which are assigned by the Manager or Supervisor that meets and supports the needs of the Customs Brokerage Department, per NBSC guidelines

Your Role

Your Responsibilities
- Timely arrival and readiness to work at your assigned starting time
- Process shipments within department guidelines according to NBSC Customer list/ Controlling branch instructions
- Timely and accurate input of all data/information necessary to process and facilitate shipments through U.S. Customs and PSG’s
- Classify goods according to the customers SOP’s and/or instructions
- Check CargoWise “buckets” daily to ensure all steps in entry/brokerage processes are being followed
- Document review and assessment for accuracy, verification of critical data elements for entry processing
- Scanning and archiving of entry document images
- Communicate documentation discrepancies to supervisor and/or controlling branch
- Request or compile any necessary import documentation from client
- Accurate completion of all PSG data interfaces (i.e. FDA, EPA, DOT, FCC, Fish & Wildlife etc...)
- Communicate entry # and entry status to carrier
- Help answer incoming calls to the office
- Be organized and detail oriented in every task that you undertake
- Answer client’s (internal or external) calls or questions within 1 hour. If you are unable to, respond back and explain why and when you will reply with the answer (Manage and assist to resolve all customer queries and ensure resolution of all problems).
- Interact closely with internal customers/departments to ensure customer service levels are achieved
- Achieve minimum prescribed hours of training each year
- Self-initiative by taking on increasing responsibility
- Always use common sense and have a purpose for every action that you are involved in
- Impeccable customer service
- Perform audit review on all assigned brokerage files and payments to customs
- Maintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation
- 1 years brokerage experience
- 1 years customer service experience
- You have the ability to report to the office 5 days per week
