Job Summary
The Communication and Marketing Specialist will be responsible for promoting Kumon’s programs and services across North and South Carolina. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies, fostering relationships with schools and community organizations, and driving enrollment growth. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Campaigns:

*Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to increase brand visibility and student enrollment in North and South Carolina. *Create and manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and search engine advertising. *Collaborate with franchisees to support localized marketing efforts and ensure brand consistency.
School and Community Engagement:

*Build and maintain relationships with schools, PTAs, and community organizations to promote Kumon’s programs. *Schedule and conduct presentations at schools, parent-teacher meetings, and community events. *Develop partnerships with educators and administrators to encourage referrals.
Content Creation:

*Design marketing materials (flyers, brochures, posters) tailored to local communities in North and South Carolina. *Write engaging content for blogs, newsletters, and social media platforms to highlight student success and program benefits. *Create multimedia content, including videos and graphics, for promotional campaigns.
Communication and Public Relations:

*Serve as the primary point of contact for communications with schools, parents, and local organizations. *Draft and distribute press releases and manage media relations to promote Kumon in the region. *Respond to inquiries and feedback from parents and community members through various channels.
Event Coordination:

*Plan and execute open houses, parent workshops, and other promotional events in North and South Carolina. *Represent Kumon at school fairs, community events, and educational expos to drive awareness and enrollment.
Analytics and Reporting:

*Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights. *Provide regular reports on marketing activities, school engagement, and enrollment trends. *Use data to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:

*Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. *2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or community outreach (experience in education is a plus).
Skills:

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, SEO, social media management). *Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and content creation. *Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. *Ability to connect with diverse communities and build lasting relationships.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Saturdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $18.00/hour.
