Position Summary :
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Production Engineer to join our team. This role supports the production process by identifying and implementing improvements to maximize efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. The Production Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, production teams, and cross-functional departments to drive continuous improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
- Support the analysis of production processes, identifying methods to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. Contribute to the specification of plant equipment and process steps.
- Assist in designing engineering solutions and conducting feasibility testing to develop and validate new processes.
- Help draft and review engineering standards, conducting inspections to evaluate compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production data and assist in troubleshooting process issues to enhance chemical manufacturing operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in change management initiatives to implement these solutions.
- Perform small-scale testing and laboratory studies, providing data to support product development and process design.
- Collaborate in developing safety procedures for chemical processes and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)
- 3 years of industry experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Willingness to learn how the plant operates and provide basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet business critical goals and tasks
- Must have some functional knowledge of safe work practices, plant safety rules, environmental compliance, and PSM
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving / decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task
