As a Technical Sales Manager (TSM) specializing in thin-film deposition, you will drive sales for our cutting-edge PED products within your territory by proactively supporting sales, leading sales situations, serving as the technical liaison, and ensuring the development and smooth operation of the sales process. You must ensure that the sales cycle runs smoothly and that both customer and company needs are effectively addressed throughout the entire process.
Responsibilities:
- Managing customer situations and designing strategies to maximize customer satisfaction
- Providing support to front-line (RSM’s) overseeing and helping with internal presentations, technical support, and customer presentations
- Supporting the sale of PED products
- Generating profitable business in their territory
- Driving the PED farming program
- Engaging with customers and serving as the primary point of contact after initial qualification
- Determining the best sales strategy and providing quotations
- Communicating technical aspects to the Product Manager and offering feedback for product improvements
- Participating in negotiations, RFQs, tenders, and in-person bidding submissions
- Ensuring CRM accuracy
- Able to travel up to 25% domestically
Required
- At least 3 - 5 years of successful outside sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree of science in Materials Science, Engineering or related field of study or equivalent experience in the thin films industry
- Strong technical sales aptitude and customer networking skills
- Eloquent communicator with strong verbal and written skills
- Independent, efficient, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities and environments
- A valid driver’s license as required territorially
- Advanced (PhD or Masters) degree in Materials Science, Engineering or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in vacuum technology and thin films industry
