Nursery Associate

Our Westerville, OH nursery is looking for a part time seasonal Nursery Associate.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all Kurtz Bros customers
• Cultivate and manage strong relationships with customers
• Assist customers with their questions and needs, either in person, via the phone or through online ordering
• Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
• Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customers
• Assist with merchandising product and managing inventory. Store tasks include cycle counts, inventory, spot counts and end of the day process
• Maintains a safe working environment
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work Saturdays, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Ability to identify plants by their Latin and common name is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to provide recommendations on common growth habits to customers.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and assist with loading and unloading plants.
• Flexible to work various hours during busy season (Spring through late Fall) including Saturdays
• Good communication and listening skills
• Dependable
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Incumbent will be required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and ambulate around the site
• Exposure to loud noises, hot/cold temperatures, dust, and other environmental factors

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
