What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coating Machine Operator position at Kurz Transfer Product LP?
- Assist with changeovers, including cleaning, roll changes, and material transfers.
- Prepare cylinders and carts to minimize downtime during production shifts.
- Support all phases of production and changeover processes.
- Conduct quality control checks on coated materials, adhering to established standards and procedures.
- Progress towards independent operation by shadowing the Machine Operator and assuming control for short durations.
- Collaborate with other Assistants and Operators to keep production flowing.
- Manage inventory movement and maintain accurate stock records.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on the LM70 machine.
- Handle hazardous waste appropriately.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Other Duties as required.

- Math skills: Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications

- Safety compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.
- Physical abilities: Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Climb steps frequently and maintain sustained focus for an extended periods.
- Technical skills: Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.
- Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization mindset.
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic and intermediate math skills.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP/Microsoft Office is advantageous.
