What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director of Nursing Services position at KVC Health Systems?

The Associate Director of Nursing Services serves as part of the hospital leadership team to:
- Be the Nursing Department representative when working with the Hospital director to improve and innovate programs
- Serve as a liaison between Director of Integrated Services, Clinical Services, and nursing and clinical staff.
Train/practice/model nursing duties by:
- Providing proficient, age specific, developmentally and specialty appropriate nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skill.
- Ensuring the comfort and safety of patients/families in accordance with legal and hospital policies and procedures
- Establishing standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the Kansas State Board of Nursing, the State of Kansas, and KVC Health Systems, Inc.
Salary: Pay for this position based on previous experience.
Schedule: Full time, 40-hour work week.
Education: Associate’s degree in nursing required, BSN preferred
Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas. ANCC certification as a psychiatric nurse is preferred.
Experience: At least two years of prior experience or equivalent training in psychiatric nursing required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
