Position Summary :
The Driver will provide transportation services for children within KVC’s service system.
This is a PRN position
Use of personal vehicle for transportation
Pay :
17.50 per hour
Mileage reimbursement
Location :
KC Metro area
Schedule :
Must be available to work both day or extended shift hours including weekends and short notice.
Education :
High School Diploma
Preferred Experience / Skills :
Experience working with children and families
Certification / Licensure :
At least 21 years old
Valid Auto Insurance
Valid Drivers License
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Ensure the timely receptions of children entering foster care.
Provide a secure environment for children while in transit.
Provide on-time arrival for all transports.
Monitor and document outstanding child’s behavior and activities.
Ensure confidentiality.
Exhibit a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively with staff in the Transportation Department as well as other KVC staff and external clients / customers.
Implement and follow all agency and department policies and procedures.
Maintain a fully operational, well-maintained and clean vehicle.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Maintain / complete all required forms and written reports.
Assist in the transfer of materials throughout the agency.
Attend necessary training hours as required by the Transportation Department.
Participate in staff meetings and other department functions.
Serve as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse / neglect.
