Are you passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of children and families? KVC Health Systems is looking for dedicated Intensive In-Home Specialists to join our team and provide essential support to families in need. This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to change lives!
Position Overview:
As an Intensive In-Home Specialist, you will work with families for one year after permanency is achieved, providing intensive, in-home support services and monitoring. Your role is key to building a safe, secure, and stable child welfare system while empowering families to thrive.
What You’ll Do:
Provide crucial in-home services to children and families
Attend and participate in court hearings and prepare court reports
Assess children and family functioning and conduct comprehensive evaluations
Develop safety plans to address family concerns and ensure stability
Provide crisis intervention when needed
Assist parents in finding vital community resources such as housing, healthcare, and more
Collaborate with courts, DCF, and community partners to support families
Maintain accurate documentation and client files
Coach and train staff as needed, ensuring smooth family transitions
What We’re Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Development, or a related field.
Licensure: Licensure by the Kansas BSRB is preferred (not required).
Experience: Prior experience in children and family services preferred.
Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
