What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver-PRN KC Metro position at KVC Kansas Health System?
Position Summary:
- The Driver will provide transportation services for children within KVC's service system.
- This is a PRN position
- Use of personal vehicle for transportation
Pay:
- $17.50 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement
Location:
- KC Metro area
Schedule:
- Must be available to work both day or extended shift hours including weekends and short notice.
Education:
- High School Diploma
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience working with children and families
Certification/Licensure:
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Auto Insurance
- Valid Drivers License
Job Duties/ Responsibilities :
- Ensure the timely receptions of children entering foster care.
- Provide a secure environment for children while in transit.
- Provide on-time arrival for all transports .
- Monitor and document outstanding child's behavior and activities.
- Ensure confidentiality.
- Exhibit a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively with staff in the Transportation Department as well as other KVC staff and external clients/customers.
- Implement and follow all agency and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain a fully operational, well-maintained and clean vehicle.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Maintain/complete all required forms and written reports.
- Assist in the transfer of materials throughout the agency.
- Attend necessary training hours as required by the Transportation Department.
- Participate in staff meetings and other department functions.
- Serve as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse/neglect.
